Hi All, i bought some AP racing brakes. So i got it booked into Pete the FRS GURU in the UK for fitting.. Met up with another RS owner Lee, at resturant and had some something to eat and to pass the time before we both got there. Got to Petes. and as usual as i have been told,, he rolled a fag, and then then his Dad popped out to offer coffee's around.. (nice cup of coffee has to be said). Well Pete started doing his thing.. i got the car over the pit as it is LHD Pete was a bit HMMM,,, can you do it???, and started getting the wheels off, then the OEM Brembos and discs. Pete with his eagel eyes spotted a problem,,, my OSF shock was goosed,, so luckily he had a spare, so the broken one was removed, with help with the universal fine adjustment tool (BIG FOOK OFF HAMMER) and on went the new one. Me and Lee went to the pub and left him to it.:beer: Then on went the AP's Lee had to run as it was late and Pete started to bleed the system, after that he placed the wheels on then showed me just how big these are.... look at this and see how close the calipers are to the wheel weights Pete then changed my headlight bulb that blew just as i got to him..:wall::wall: Then it was time to check the underside of my car. actually not that bad as its a daily driver.... then it was time for the test drive,,, my god these brakes are good...... glad i got them. Now the obligitory before and after shots old discs New Hope you like my update... Mike
Hi Mike, g#ddamn what a big ••• brake kit that is!!!!!! I can imagine that are some great stoppers. But isn`t that a little bit to close to the wheel weights? Or perhaps you`re opting for a 19" set? Anyway it`s looking awesome!
Damn that's big... Like Marco says, aren't they to close to the wheelweights? A little dirt or something and bwam, your balance is gone... But they sure look nice!!!
long time no speak Hi All. it's been a while since i posted on here, a few things have happened in the last year or so. i am now working in the UK, but have taken my RS over with me. a few updates to the car as well firstly i took the car to Sabre in the uk and had there 400+ upgrade done. This entails the following New turbo a Sabre 400R+ hybrid, new 3" BCS exhaust and sports cat, new actuator, Live map with 2 stage boost switch, new 120mm air intake and MAF, new saches full face race clutch. then due to heat. I have had MK2 RS vents fitted to the bonnet. To say the car is fast is an understatement, it now has 425bhp and 398ftlbs/ 539.6Nm of torque. 1. new wheels 2. bonnet vents better pic of vents and a little video of it ticking over after it's 425BHP upgrade hope everyone is ok and speak again soon cheers mike
Wow those are some serious specs! Funny thing to see is your licenseplate. My old Focus 1 had 80 as the starting numbers and the rest was the same
miker: Welcome back. Much has changed in the years. I remember your car had around 260(?) bhp? You`re "old topic" is also still active. http://www.focusclub.nl/forum/showthread.php?t=12922 Perhaps one of the mods can put these two topics together. Remco?
